Artist, Tara Donancricchia (formerly Tara Bellman) is known for creating unique, vibrant, abstract acrylic paintings on canvas, wood, glass or anything else the paint will stick to. After winning a coloring contest at the wee age of 4 in Miami, FL, in the early 1970’s, Tara’s inspiration bloomed. Her love for art then also expanded into other genres through adulthood as an “artistic expression” model in horror, circus, lifestyle and character modeling as well as acting, dance (modern jazz and ballet), singing, jewelry making, sewing and costume design. She has since retired in her early 40’s from modeling and the like and focuses her energy on her never-ending love of painting.

Her primary subjects include explosions, nature, natural disasters with an organic feel, and vivacious whimsical landscapes with a child-like fantasy feel.

Her somewhat backward, yet effective, techniques of freely pouring and/or using brush application to paint her subjects allows each of her works of art to encompass an eye-catching contrast and depth as well as movement.
